America the shining example for third world women

After reading the assigned material i have come to a conclusion. Feminism varies from country to country revolving around codes, laws and practices, of that country. However, the one idea with which all forms of feminism fight for is the same. That idea is equality and civil rights for women. Women in America have already set an example fighting for equality and that example has set off women in other countries to fight for a better way of life.

I feel that if it weren't for the feminist movement in America setting and example, women in the third world would still be under complete male dominated societies and would not even put up an effort to change their lives.
