Proof your a Woman

Society always manages to change the norms at which we live. People are always being oppressed by what society implies is the norm and the correct way to be a person. Women are at the point now that they need to proof that they are a "real women" as stated in One is not Born a Women. The idea that women need be real women is oppressing to many. Women have been fighting for their equal rights for many years and have come so far as to now be told they need to prove themselves. This is I believe an insult to women.
But there is this thought that women have been so focused on coming out and getting their equal rights that it is making them not be individuals anymore. Women are seen as a group fighting for their rights not as an individual person,therefore a woman, trying to get her rights. And this is how society sees a woman not being a true woman. Because they are not being seen as individuals they are seen as the group as a whole. But it will be hard to prove that one is a women because if we go back and focus on the individual the women's rights will be restarting all over again. This will be harder to accomplish because the thought that women will still need to prove themselves all over from the beginning.
