What a dog will do for a bone

Let’s admit it, we all know that at one point or another we have done something stupid thinking that it would draw the attention of a significant other. Currently, a lot of people are doing a lot of stupid things. The idea that sexism has to do with these came to me after reading Laura Hamilton’s article. Hamilton presents the ideas that sexism and heterosexuality shape what is deemed as appropriate for gaining the attention of a certain someone. Through this, women have become nothing more than sexual objects striving for male attention, which they will almost do anything to gain. We have all seen the “Girls Gone Wild” series and understand what partiers will do in order to turn a few heads. Hamilton even points this out by stating that women are forming same sex relations, with other straight women, in order to toy and please the men around them. This explains the constant girl on girl action party goers have become accustomed to seeing. These actions are clearly for heterosexual purposes, for we never see a group of lesbians surrounding two heterosexual women who are going at it; it’s not for their pleasure, only for men’s entertainment.

From my viewpoint, as a heterosexual guy, yes the girl on girl action can be entertaining; however they drive me to think negatively of the women who are in it. These are not the type of girls I want to take home to my Mother. The women who are included are not only hurting themselves but the lesbian women as well. This is arguably the most important affect caused by girl on girl action; it creates a stagnant environment in which lesbians are not comfortable expressing their own desires in. It also makes it so that the only point of any party is to entertain a guy, thus thrusting lesbians homosexuals further down on the social hierarchy our society runs through.

  1. First: Nice use of specific vocabulary there in your last sentence, the use of "thrusting" and "lesbians".

Second: On a side note, I couldn't agree anymore with you. I too would never take "some" chick that was caught in the act of a "thrusting lesbian" scene, home to momma. Preferably, I would not take any girl that kissed me on the first date, let alone have sex with within a short week seriously. Naturally I have a desire for a woman to play hard to get, to an extent. We do derive from cavemen (claims evolution, which I personally believe is a bunch of shit) and we instinctively have that urge to pursue a woman. You are correct, in a sense, that heterosexual women having "lesbian-sex", is ruining the image for "real" "thrusting lesbian" lesbians.
